Ghazanfari said the $four-plus billion projects will be unveiled in “The Ten Days of National Production” from June 21 to 30, and will create 23 thousand jobs.
Elsewhere, Ghazanfari announced an increase in Iran’s industrial production in the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year (started on March 20) compared to the similar period last year.
“In this period (March 20-May 19, 2012), the production of crude steel has grown by more than nine percent and hit 2.6 million tons, while this figure was 2.4 million tons last year,” he said.
Ghazanfari added that in the same period the output of steel products has also registered a six-percent growth from 2.8 to three million tons.
The Iranian minister further announced a 6.5-percent growth in cement output from 10.7 to 11.4 million tons and a seven to 11 percent increase in the production of lead and zinc ingots and tiles in the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year compared to the corresponding period last year (ended March 19).
The exports of other goods such as petrochemicals, etc. have also grown by five to ten percent, Ghazanfari added.
Ghazanfari had earlier said that the goal of export-oriented production can only be realized through support for national production.
The initiative by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei to name the new Iranian calendar year as the year of “National Production, Supporting Iranian Capital and Labor” will create a new wave of production management in Iran, Ghazanfari said on March 20.
