Organized by the Embassy of Austria in Tehran, the event is scheduled to present several artworks created by the Austrian artists.
Holding such cultural weeks will help the two countries boost their cultural relations, said Austrian Ambassador to Tehran Thomas Buchsbam in his meeting with director of Iranian Artists Forum Majid Sarsangi.
The event will mount a particular exhibition titled Hundred Years of Islam in Austria that is counted a valuable program featuring the effect of Islam and Islamic civilization on Austria, said Sarsangi.
Visual arts, theaters, films, multimedia programs and book readings are among other programs that will be presented at the Austrian cultural festival.
Visitors will also become familiar with the Austrian music as several musical ensembles are scheduled to perform selected music of their country during the event.
The Austrian Cultural Week is set to be held from June 9 to 14, 2012.
