Organized by Iran’s Revayat-e Fath Publication Institute and the Marty Avini Institute of Culture and Art, Martyr Avini Literary Award is a literary contest among the resistance authors.
The award is named in honor of Iranian television documentarian Seyyed Morteza Avini, who was killed in 1993 by a landmine while making a documentary about the 1980s Iran-Iraq war.
He is especially remembered for the series of The Chronicles of Victory, featuring Iran’s sacred defense.
