According to Press TV, addressing a weekly press conference on Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham said that Boko Haram’s activities constitute a source of concern in the global community and lead to insecurity in the world.
She called for global efforts to secure the release of the kidnapped Nigerian women and girls.
The Iranian official also warned against the spread of terrorism across the world and called for action to curb the scourge.
She said: “We once again stress that terrorism knows no boundaries and if it is not countered it will spill over into all countries.”
According to news reports on Tuesday, Boko Haram abducted more than 60 girls and women in northeastern regions of Nigeria.
