FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda “The imperialist powers see Iran as an obstacle to their plans to pin their domination on the Middle East and use its nuclear program as a pretext to remove the obstacle,” said Mustafa Destici on Wednesday.
He denounced the “improper” approach to Iran and called on the Turkish government to confront it strongly.
“Any new war in the region, any bloodshed and the exploitation of the region’s richness will eventually damage Turkey too. The Turkish nation will also be damaged,” he added.
The BBP leader warned that the United States and its allies are pursuing the same scenario on Iran as they did on Iraq before their attack on the country in 2003 under the pretext that it possessed chemical weapons and weapons of mass destruction.
However, it transpired later that the invaders had launched the offensive only because of “oil and Iraq’s rich resources,” Destici stated.
“We are witnessing that the same scenario is being played against Iran,” he concluded.
The United States, Israel, and some of their allies accuse Tehran of pursuing military objectives in its nuclear program. Washington and Tel Aviv have repeatedly threatened Tehran with the “option” of a military strike against its atomic facilities.
Iran argues that as a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), it has the right to develop and acquire nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
The IAEA has conducted numerous inspections of Iran’s nuclear facilities, but has never found any evidence indicating that Tehran’s civilian nuclear program has taken on another dimension.
