FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda During a meeting of the second joint political committee of Iran and Kenya, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian highlighted Iran and Kenya’s ‘pivotal’ roles in the Middle East and Africa and, underlined the need for further expansion of consultations between the two countries, IRIB reported Thursday.
In the meeting, Kenya’s Deputy Foreign Minister Moses Wetangula also stated that Tehran and Nairobi need to exploit their potentials and capabilities to meet their interests and objectives, and help international peace and stability, particularly in the east and Horn of Arica.
He also supported Iran’s peaceful nuclear energy program and lauded Tehran’s positive and constructive role in the establishment of international security.
Abdollahian and his Kenyan counterpart also discussed bilateral ties and cooperation in political, parliamentary, economic and cultural sectors, and reviewed the latest regional and international developments.
The two sides described relations between the countries as amicable and brotherly, calling for further expansion of ties.
Abdollahian also met with Kenyan Foreign Minister Sam Ongeri, during which he submitted Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s message of invitation to Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki to participate in the next Non-Aligned Movement meeting in Tehran.
The Kenyan foreign minister expressed gratitude for the invitation and described NAM as the most significant organization in facilitating the expansion of cooperation among developing countries in the international arena.
He also expressed his willingness to visit Iran to attend the 6th joint economic meeting of the two countries.
Abdollahian’s visit to Kenya is part of his regional tour of a number of African countries, including Somalia and Djibouti.
