The sixth edition of the annual event will screen and award Persian Gulf documentaries in a section titled The Sparkling Gem.
The special section of this year’s festival has been dedicated to industrial and agricultural documentaries to mark the year of “National Production, Supporting Iranian Capital and Labor” as named by the leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Iran’s 2012 Cinema Verite International Documentary Film Festival will screen a wide range of productions such as political, historical, ritualistic, religious, social, environmental, scientific, ethnological and war documentaries.
The festival will be held from November 3 to 9 in the capital city of Tehran.
The 6th edition of the festival screened 23 international films from different countries such as Italy, Poland, the UK and Germany.
American filmmaker, author and political analyst Michael Francis Moore also attended last year’s event.
