Kuala Lumpur, March 18, IRNA – Iranian ambassador in Kuala Lumpur Marzieh Afkham and Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi discussed issues of mutual interest in a meeting held here on Thursday.
As the first Iranian female ambassador, Afkham assumed office in Malaysia in December 2015 and since then she has held separate meetings with senior Malaysian officials.
During her meeting with the Malaysian deputy prime minister, the two explored ways to promote bilateral cooperation on the fight against extremism and ways to tackle organized crimes and drug trafficking.
