If you are using social media and want to get a job then read on

If you are going for a job interview, court date, or have been arrested by the Police just know that if they haven’t already they will be doing the following to your phone, PC, tablet or if they don’t have one then just like Edward Snowden said with his programs Prism and XKeyScore all they need is a phone number, email address or zip code/post code to do the following and get information on you.
1. Going for a job interview – it’s the 1st thing the boss uses to find any dirt on you. There used to be a site called 123people.com that would search Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Blogger, and anything else to get info on that person. I used to come up all the time due to blogs and sites I have built however in the UK it suddenly stopped working. There still are sites like that in the US > https://www.whitepages.com and you can show a lot more in America such as Prison time, criminal records, birth records and a lot more.
2. If you have done anything such as have a car crash or been involved in a crime the cops will want as much information as possible on you. If you put it on your public wall on Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Tumblr etc, the lawyers might misconstrue your words and say you admitted the crash or crime.
3. Anything you don’t want your family or certain friends to see. Split your friends into groups such as public, friends (pick), close friends, important people and everyone but ignore these people (x, y, z). This is a good idea if you just want to spread information like this without certain people reading it.
4. Pictures you have uploaded from Facebook, Snapchat or Instagram as they will get indexed by Google images and appear in searches.
6. If you use Twitter and your real name then that will return a lot of data. Just don’t be slagging off your boss when looking for a new job.
7. Your friends and groups that you belong to. LinkedIn is another site with a public profile to obtain contacts. It’s just like xKeyScore (NSA and Edward Snowden). According to his stolen papers they can just enter an email address and after a scan of the web a network of nodes (people) and sites is formed with you in the middle. This graph can be used to see who you contact the most by email, Skype or mobile phone. It will also tell them where you go and what sites you visit , especially if you use Google to search as their DNT (do not track) option is hardly used by them and most people don’t even check their settings to ensure 3rd party cookies are disabled, and of course what your browser/download history is. Use a search engine like duckduckgo.com to do your searching instead.
These are just a few of the things people and certain sites are used for when hunting for information about you that you should be aware of.
Due to all the uproar about groups, pages and whole profiles on Facebook being deleted there are many decentralised social media sites like www.minds.com being created that people should move over to.
Just remember — they are always watching you!
