This transcript is the final words of Alexander Prokhorenko (25), a Russian Special Forces Officer, engaged in the Syrian conflict. Honour between soldiers is not uncommon but is generally a taboo subject because such collaboration or rather, fraternisation, causes problems relating to morality and ethics.
Those of us not in uniform can enjoy the luxury of honouring all servicemen who fight and die honourable. Most, not all, do so in the fervent belief that they fight and dire for the deliverance of their people. Where and when this happens their heroism is of special significance. In life and death such heroes and heroines are elevated to the highest echelons of humankind. We salute father-to-be Alexander, the epitome of true heroism.
