Heat vs. Celtics LIVE: Game 7 Of NBA Eastern Conference Finals

Eastern Conference Finals Game 7

Few expected the Eastern Conference Finals to last this long. If the series even went six games, then many thought it would be Miami with a shot to close it out. But the Celtics outplayed the Heat for three consecutive games (arguably four) after falling into an 0-2 hole to take a 3-2 series lead.

Then LeBron James stepped up, dropping 45 points and 15 rebounds in an elimination game to force the series back to South Beach.

“I hope now you guys can stop talking about LeBron and he doesn’t play in big games,” Celtics coach Doc Rivers said after Game 6. “He was pretty good tonight. So we can put that to bed and go play Game 7.”

Could LeBron possibly duplicate his Game 6 performance in Saturday night’s decisive Game 7? Or will the Celtics keep the team everyone loves to hate from winning an NBA championship?

Keys to 2nite’s Game for Miami: D-Wade has GOT to show up early. Can’t leave it to LeBron to carry the Heat. Gotta avg more than 5.8 a half.

Eddy Curry and Terrel Harris again the inactives for the Heat.

“These were the games I lived for.” – Magic Johnson

Kevin Garnett has arrived.

“I think it’s incredibly important that Dwyane Wade gets off tonight… He’s got to step up, come out ready to contribute heavily.” – Stephen A. Smith

According to Ira Winderman, coach Erik Spoelstra won’t announce his starting lineup until shortly before the game as usual.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported several hours before the game that Chris Bosh expects to come off the bench in Game 7 instead of starting.

“I think we have a good thing going right now and I’ll continue to come off the bench as long as it’s good,” Bosh said. “I’m going to have my time out there with certain lineups, and that’s not going to change my approach and how I do things.”
