A body reportedly found headless on the far north coast of NSW will not be examined until next week.
The 54-year-old man’s body was found in River St, Broadwater, on Thursday afternoon.
Police have not confirmed a News Ltd report that the corpse was found without a head, and with a hat in its place.
A post-mortem was initially scheduled for Friday but a NSW Police spokesman said the examination would now be on Monday.
The area is still classified as a crime scene.
