Police are investigating the suspicious death of a man on the NSW north coast.
The 54-year-old man’s body was found in River St, Broadwater, on Thursday afternoon.
Police would not confirm News Ltd reports that the corpse was found without a head, and with a hat in its place.
A crime scene has been established in the area, which will be examined by forensic specialists.
A post-mortem is expected to be carried out on Friday to establish how the man died.
