Ezzet al-Resheq, a member of Hamas political bureau described the Israeli move as “a preplanned racist crime” aimed at crushing prisoners’ protests.
Reports say Israeli special forces stormed Nafha prison in the Negev desert on Tuesday and transferred all detainees in section 11 to an unknown place.
The Hamas official called on international human rights organizations to take action and shed light on Israel’s atrocities against Palestinians. Hamas also held the Israeli regime fully responsible for the safety of the prisoners.
“The Israeli occupation took this measure to separate the prisoners in this jail from each other and thus thwart the protest steps taken by them,” Resheq said.
The notorious Nafha desert prison is located 220-kilometers from Al-Quds (Jerusalem).
