Gunman opens fire on Sydney tattoo shop

A man has fired several shots into a tattoo shop in Sydney’s north-west.

Police say the man opened fire on the shop on Seven Hills Road at Baulkham Hills shortly before 5:30am (AEDT).

Sergeant Dave Rose say several witnesses saw the incident.

“That person has fired several shots into the front roller shutter of those premises. The offender has then fled on foot,” he said.

“We have attended, we’ve established a crime scene there and we’ve got a number of specialist units obviously attending, including our forensic people, and they’ll be doing a canvas of the area.”

Police say they gunman was wearing dark clothing and a hoodie jacket at the time of the attack.

Bullet casings have been recovered from outside the shop.
