Police say a man had a gun pointed at his head during a carjacking in northern New South Wales.
The 38-year-old man was in his car leaving a commercial premises in the Kirra Shores complex in Tweed Heads when he was approached by another man.
The driver was waiting for the automatic gates to open when the man pointed a gun at him.
The gunman got into the vehicle and held the pistol to the driver’s head, demanding he drive to another location in Tweed Heads.
Once they got there he demanded money and then left the car on foot.
Police say the man was dressed in black, and was wearing a balaclava and gloves at the time of the robbery.
Investigations are continuing.
