Groom tells bride of Lamborghini prang

A Sydney groom has shared on television the moment he told his bride he crashed the $500,000 Lamborghini hired to take him to their church wedding.

Jessy Nikho, his first time driving a Lamborghini, smashed the white luxury car into a wire fence after skidding off a wet road on his way to the ceremony at West Hoxton yesterday afternoon.

He and passenger Dani Mansour, the best man, abandoned the mangled wreck and ran the rest of the way to the church.

After exchanging vows with his sweetheart Lilyan, Mr Nikho decided to sit down his new bride and confess to the whole drama — including losing a $15,000 insurance deposit on the car.

The 28-year-old even invited Nine News to film his nervous apology.

“It’s a good way to start off, just being honest with you,” Mr Nikho says. “I don’t want to ruin our wedding.

“I was driving [the Lamborghini] so slow, so careful, but the bumps and the wetness … the car has just skidded off.
“You didn’t really want the [Lamborghini], because it was a sports car. You were happier with the Chrysler, and now that it’s turned out this way, where the [Lamborghini] is damaged, I might have to start listening to you.”

His gracious bride replies: “I like this. It’s a good lesson”.

The couple are off the Paris for their honeymoon.
