Google sued over access to millions of NHS blood tests

Gareth Corfield reports:

A Google-owned artificial intelligence company may have gained access to NHS blood test results without patients’ knowledge, according to a High Court lawsuit over 1.6m people’s health records.

DeepMind, which was bought by Google in 2014, may have been handed the results of blood tests that were “processed by the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust laboratories” according to legal filings seen by The Telegraph.

Google DeepMind says the case is “without merit” and has pledged to fight it in court.

Amazon’s Ring video doorbells likely form the largest private surveillance network the world has ever known. Millions of Americans allow Ring surveillance cameras to record and store video and audio of all activity at their front door. Ring maintains access to users’ unencrypted videos, and has admitted in the past that at least four employees improperly accessed doorbell camera recordings.

Staffed by NATO military officers and former government ministers and notorious for training the West’s top spies, the Department of War Studies at King’s College London is also providing the workforce for many of the largest social media companies. Here’s a puzzler for you: why is it that every time the MSM reports on cloud seeding, they treat it like some kind of crazy new invention that the world has never seen before?

Technocrats of a feather, flock together. Professor Antony Sutton wrote extensively about the transfer of enabling technology from the West to the East. Nothing has changed. U.S. Technocrats love Chinese Technocrats and vice versa, and there is never ethical or moral compunction about working together.

Over the last few years, there has been a lot of attention paid to the issue of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) online. It is a huge and serious problem. And has been for a while. If you talk to trust and safety experts who work in the field, the stories they tell are horrifying and scary. Trying to stop the production of such material (i.e., literal child abuse) is a worthy and important goal. Trying to stop the flow of such material is similarly worthy.

There’s clear coordination, globally, of censorship. With few exceptions, countries have taken action to criminalize free speech, and they have done so in lockstep with each other. It began in earnest with censorship of theories about the origins of SARS-CoV-2, and grew from there to include anything COVID related.

For most of us, search engines are the primary tools that we use to find information on the Internet. When they originally came on the scene, search engines could generally be trusted to present information in a neutral manner.  The most relevant information was supposed to come up first, and less relevant information was supposed to be pushed farther down the listings.

Comedian Wanda Sykes will host a new show, called “Ring Nation,” that will feature videos captured by Amazon Ring cameras, according to a report on Deadline. Amazon-owned MGM Television and Big Fish Entertainment will produce the show.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is promoting “Enhanced Border Security Agreements” by offering access to the department’s vast biometric databanks to foreign states that agree to reciprocate, according to a July 22 Statewatch report. A DHS document, “DHS International Biometric Information Sharing (IBIS) Program,” is effectively a “sales pitch” to potential “foreign partners,” Statewatch said.

About 18% of Americans now own a video doorbell. That means a significant and growing slice of American neighborhoods are under a form of intermittent surveillance. If the surveillance video and associated data were the exclusive property of individual homeowners, it might not be of much concern.
