Australia Police say no charges will be laid over the death of a girl who was shot in the head with an arrow in northern New South Wales.

Police have confirmed a family member accidentally shot the eight-year-old in the head with the arrow, but won’t release further details.

The girl’s parents were in the house at the time.

She was taken to Tamworth Base Hospital in a critical condition with the arrow still lodged in her forehead.

The girl was later flown to Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick where she died yesterday afternoon.

Police say no charges will be laid, describing it as a shocking family tragedy.

They say there are no laws about locking up bow and arrows, although there are laws covering compound bows.

Will the child that did this killing be allowed back to school. I sure many parents would not want him in the class
unless being a country town they stick together. There appears to be very little sympathy for the little girl.
