Global economic turmoil, trade, jobs and green growth will dominate Prime Minister Julia Gillard’s talks with 20 other regional leaders at the annual APEC summit.
While Ms Gillard has been meeting with leaders in the Hawaiian capital Honolulu for the past two days, it is only on Sunday local time (Monday AEDT) they will all come together for the summit itself.
Sadly, the leaders look likely to skip the traditional APEC spectacle of lining up for a group photo dressed in costumes native to the host country – which presumably would have been Hawaiian shirts this year.
Leaders are instead being encouraged to wear business attire for the shot.
Ms Gillard will fly back to Canberra on Sunday night.
