FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda The 25-year-old journalist was detained on Thursday by Orestiada authorities.
He was arrested along with 13 immigrants after he illegally crossed the Greek border with Turkey in order to compile information for a report on the influx of illegal immigrants into the country, local media said.
The journalist had reportedly paid an unknown people-smuggler USD 250k to get on a plastic boat in Istanbul and cross the Evros River.
Further information regarding his identity has not yet been released.
According to official statistics Greece has become a key transit point for illegal immigrants. Every year some 130,000 illegal immigrants enter Greece.
Most illegal immigrants in Greece are from poor Asian and African countries.
