CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Gas prices in West Virginia are continuing to drop.
AAA East Central says the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded gasoline is $3.59. That’s down 2.1 cents per gallon from a week ago.
Gas prices have receded statewide since peaking at about $3.97 in early April.
Current prices range from $3.57 in Bridgeport and Clarksburg to $3.61 in Wheeling.
Nationally, gas prices average $3.54.
A year ago in the state, prices averaged $3.71.
