CAIRO, Egypt – Police fired tear gas at supporters of ousted President Mohammed Morsi after clashes in central Cairo Tuesday, security sources said.
The pro-Morsi demonstrators were pelted with rocks by local residents as they marched on the country’s Ministry of Religious Endowment.
Police were trying to control the situation.
There was no immediate information about casualties or fatalities.
