FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda Following all-out efforts by the pertinent authorities, the Iranian engineer, Abdolkhaleq Sahneh, arrived home early Sunday.
Speaking during a reception ceremony, Head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Department for Iranian Expatriates’ Affairs Kazem Sajjadi lauded Sahneh’s great efforts in Syria and hoped the two remaining Iranian engineers would be freed to reunite with their families.
On June 29, two of the Iranian engineers abducted in Syria arrived in Tehran after nearly six months of captivity.
On May 16, another two Iranian engineers, who had been abducted by armed rebels in Syria, were handed over to the embassy of the Islamic Republic in Ankara. They flew to Iran on May 17.
The five electrical engineers were kidnapped in Syria in December 2011 after a group of gunmen attacked their convoy in the city of Homs while they were on their way to work at the city’s Jandar power plant that was under construction by Iranian technicians.
Two other Iranians, trying to determine the fate of the engineers, were also nabbed, and there has been no report on their whereabouts.
