A spokeswoman for Queensland Fire told AAP that it is now believed that the four people inside the house at the time were deceased.

The deceased people are believed to be a mother and three children.

Fire crews are still on the scene.

“We grabbed hoses and all that sort of stuff and tried to get to it,” Neighbour Gary Siljac told the ABC.

“(But) it was around the other side, so I went around the house and found the father sitting in the driveway in front of the house burned from head to toe.”
