Those of you who have been waiting for the electric version of the Ford Focus, your wait is almost over. Ford has begun shipping Focus EVs to dealers in California, New Jersey and New York. Sadly, there won’t be that many units available at first; about 350 spread over 67 dealerships. So if you want to get your hands on one right away, you better start calling dealers now, because at 6 cars per dealer with one being a demonstration model, they might not last long.
Ford expects hybrids, plug-in hybrids and electric cars will represent up to 25 percent of its sales by 2020, with hybrids accounting for the majority.
