Recently, on CNN’s “OutFront” the former Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, made some utterly totalitarian claims on what she thinks should happen to those who abstain from the experimental COVID-19 vaccine. In short, this proponent of Obamacare says that Americans who have not had one of the COVID-19 vaccines should not be allowed to go to work or have access to children, nor should they be allowed to freely travel.
Given that less than half of all Americans have been “fully vaccinated,” Sebelius is advocating for a massive dystopian situation, yet she has no problem standing behind it.
“We’re in a situation where we have a wildly effective vaccine, multiple choices, lots available, free of charge, and we have folks who are just saying I won’t do it. I think that it’s time to say to those folks, it’s fine if you don’t choose to get vaccinated. You may not come to work. You may not have access to a situation where you’re going to put my grandchildren in jeopardy. Where you might kill them, or you might put them in a situation where they’re going to carry the virus to someone in a high-risk position.”
Apparently Sebelius hasn’t been following the science in regard to children and COVID-19. According to literally all the data, children worldwide are at extremely low risk of dying from Covid-19. This was known early on, yet people like Sebelius continue to push the fear. What’s more, newer studies show that the risk to children is likely lower than previously thought.
The Wall Street Journal reported that “some 99.995% of the 469,982 children in England who were infected during the year examined by researchers survived, one study found.” What’s more, when researchers went back and took a closer look at the 61 children thought to have died from COVID-19, it turned out that only 25 had died from complications related to the virus.
Nevertheless, Sebelius continued, and compared the unvaccinated with people who smoke or drive drunk—a completely false equivalence.
“That’s, I think the point where we are, is freedom is one thing, but freedom when you harm others like secondhand smoke and issues that we’ve dealt with very clearly in the past you can’t drive drunk. You can drink, but you can’t drive drunk because you can injure other people. You can’t smoke inside of a public place where you can give cancer to someone else in spite of their never having been a smoker.”
Sebelius went on to appeal to emotion by claiming that she did her part and she wants to take off her mask, so anyone who doesn’t get the vaccine is hindering her ability to be free.
“So I think we’re reaching that point in the United States where those of us who are vaccinated, I want to take off my mask. I want to be able to live my life with vaccination, and right now, I’m being impinged on by people who say I don’t want to get vaccinated. It’s fine. I want them to maybe have a limitation on where they can go and who they can possibly infect.”
Well, Sebelius, it’s a good thing you have no authority. Unfortunately, she likely doesn’t need it. As TFTP has reported, the state has reached fever pitch in regard to the technocratic post-COVID America.
According to an article in Politico last week, the gloves are off and government is no longer going to sit idly by while the masses talk among each other and encourage people to think for themselves. They are coming after your text messages. As Politico reports:
Biden allied groups, including the Democratic National Committee, are also planning to engage fact-checkers more aggressively and work with SMS carriers to dispel misinformation about vaccines that is sent over social media and text messages. The goal is to ensure that people who may have difficulty getting a vaccination because of issues like transportation see those barriers lessened or removed entirely.
Not only will the government be monitoring your private text messages, but it will also be turning the vaccine hesitant into “unpersons” on the internet. Last week, the White House announced they will be merging with social media companies and cross-platform banning people who “spread misinformation.”
Spoiler alert: if you have to be threatened, coerced, bribed, deleted, banned, spied on, and shamed into getting a vaccine, perhaps you’re not the crazy one.
