FM Zarif arrives in Ankara

IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif heading a high-ranking delegation arrived in Ankara on Tuesday afternoon to attend a trilateral meeting on Syria.

Iran, Syria and Russia will attend the trilateral meeting on Syria at expert, Foreign ministerial and presidential levels today and tomorrow in the capital city of Ankara.

The second round of the trilateral meeting will be held in Astana and the third one in Sochi focusing on resolving civil war in Syria.

Zarif is to confer with his Turkish and Russian counterparts on a working breakfast on Wednesday morning.

In the meeting, the three foreign ministers are to prepare blue print of the Summit.

President Hassan Rouhani at the official invitation extended by his Turkish counterpart will join the summit on Wednesday.

During his stay, President Rouhani will separately confer with his Turkish and Russian counterparts on the expansion of bilateral relations and mutual cooperation along with regional and international developments.
