Thieves also stole paperwork relating to the ownership of the firearms, both of which are legally registered to the home owner.
Police have obtained statements from witnesses, and would like to speak to two men who they believe may be able to help them with their inquiries.
The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his mid thirties with dark hair.
The second man is described as being aged in his late twenties with long blonde hair.
He was seen wearing a white singlet and getting into a black hatchback on Kings Road shortly after 1pm.
