Firefighters have put out a blaze at the Westfield Chatswood mall in Sydney.
Vivid Twitter pictures showed smoke billowing out of the shopping centre after a ground floor shop caught fire.
Around 55 firefighters attended and put out the fire at about 5.40pm (EST), a NSW fire brigade spokesman said.
Shoppers were evacuated and no-one was believed to be hurt, with media reporting the shop in question was the Sussan clothing store.
A fire brigade spokesman said the shop’s two adjoining stores had also been damaged by smoke and fire.
The fire brigade was called to the 414 Victoria Avenue address at around 4.35pm (EST) on Saturday.
Firefighters were ventilating the shopping centre and shoppers were not expected to be allowed inside until Sunday.
Investigators will examine the scene to determine the cause of the blaze.
