The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is the U.S. government agency that regulates new technology.
The FCC has been part of what President Trump refers to as “The Swamp” for over 20 years. One in-depth article describes them as a “Captured Agency.” The former FCC chairman who was appointed by President Obama has worked for the Telecom Industry before and then after he worked at the FCC.
According to a May 22, 2018 article by AGL Media Group, The FCC is tired of “being nice” to state and municipal governments who are resisting the installation of risky new technology including 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT).
The FCC will seek comment on making additional spectrum available in the 26 GHz and 42 GHz bands for flexible terrestrial wireless use in the third installment of its Spectrum Frontiers proceeding, which makes millimeter wave spectrum, in the bands at or above 24 GHz available for 5G and the Internet of Things.
Almost every security expert on the planet has been vocal about security risks created by the Internet of Things which already has an almost 75% failure rate. IoT is so risky that it’s even been hacked by a bored teenager.
Various media outlets have been reporting about risks from exposure to 5G technology including The Nation, Democracy Now, NPR, Newsweek, and Dr. Oz. Many U.S. broadcast news stations have also been reporting concerns about radiation exposure from 4G and 5G small cell towers and more.
Countless doctors, environmental organizations, scientists, concerned citizens, and even some elected officials have been fighting the installation of 4G and 5G small cell towers in their communities because of research confirming harm from exposure and reduced property value.
FCC Commissioner, Michael O’Rielly is referring those who are fighting the installation of 5G and IoT as “bad actors.” The FCC has had enough of them.
…state and local jurisdictions are still acting in ways that impede the deployment of wireless infrastructure and therefore slowing the backbone of 5G.
[…]
The FCC must use its authority to remove regulatory impediments to the deployment and development of networks, O’Rielly said. He hopes the FCC will take action on removing state and local barriers to small cell deployment sometime this summer.
“We have tried to be nice, cajoling the states and municipalities to do the right thing. It hasn’t exactly worked in most cases. We have had increasing problems. There is only so much good will you can expend on one side of the equation,” he said. “Now we are going to go the aggressive route, getting bad actor communities out of the way.”
While President Trump was campaigning, he promised to “drain the swamp” and give the country back to the people. This obviously isn’t happening with The FCC. In fact, not Trump nor any of his staff have said anything questioning The FCC’s actions regarding 5G or IoT at all. Last summer, Trump even spoke in favor of of states and municipalities loosening regulations to speed up installment. And that ain’t “Fake News.”
During the history of humankind, many people who questioned authority were originally labelled “bad actors.” Many of these “bad actors” eventually became celebrated as heroes and role models. Sometimes blockbuster movies are made about them.
Regardless of whether or not you believe Jesus was anything other than a carpenter’s son, he was also considered by authorities as a “bad actor.” Jesus had a big mouth and wasn’t afraid to call people out on their crap.
The risks associated with 5G and IoT won’t go away unless more of us are less afraid of being labelled “bad actors” in questioning authority and trying to stop this.
