Facebook Timeline feature unpopular, especially among Baby Boomers

Breaking news: Old people don’t like change

The new mandatory Facebook Timeline is a surprisingly controversial feature. You either love it, or you hate it. And according to a new poll, it appears that almost all of you hate it.

Overall, only 20% of those surveyed said they liked the new Facebook Timeline; 70% hate it. Voters aged between 18 and 24 were the most likely to like the new Facebook Timeline, with 30% approving of the design change. Senior citizens were the least likely to approve of the feature — only 10% prefer it over the older version of the site.

The poll, conducted by opinion website SodaHead, was a self-selecting internet-based survey of 1,327 Facebook users. As such, it’s not quite scientific. But like it or not, the new Timeline feature is here to stay.
