FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda Thousands of separatists from across Europe have held a demonstration in Brussels, the de facto capital of the European Union, to call for the right to self-determination in their native lands.
The rally was held in the Belgian capital on Sunday, when some 3,000 people marched from Parc du Cinquantenair near the European Commission’s headquarters toward the European Parliament.
The demonstrators, who included separatists from Belgium’s Flemish separatist party as well as people from Spain’s Catalonia, the UK’s Scotland and Italy’s South Tyrol, walked under a banner proclaiming, “Europe, we’ll vote for self-determination.”
A group of Catalonians chanted slogans in their regional language in favor of “independence.” One of the demonstrators, Marta Giralt, said she came from Barcelona to participate in the rally to “defend the right of the Catalans to vote.”
The autonomous community of Catalonia is planning to hold a referendum on secession on November 9. Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy has described the vote as illegal, saying the referendum cannot take place.
In addition, groups of Scots joined the march voicing their right to self-determination. Scotland is also to hold a referendum on independence in September. The referendum could result in a break-up from the United Kingdom after more than 300 years of political union.
The Sunday demonstration in Brussels was organized by the International Commission of European Citizens, which represents the main separatist movements in Europe.
