FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda Second-place Esteqlal and Rah Ahan played to a 2-2 draw at Tehran’s Azadi stadium on Saturday.
Bahador Abdi opened the scoring for Rah Ahan just two minutes into the match and Hossein Kazemi doubled the lead 13 minutes later.
But Esteqlal sprang into life and got on the scoreboard in the 25th minute thanks to the Blues’ Trinidadian player Jlloyd Samuel’s goal.
Pejman Montazeri fired home in the 53rd minute to level the match for Esteqlal.
In the other matches of the day, Zob Ahan beat Saba 2-1 and Shahin and Naft Abadan played to a 1-1 draw.
Earlier on Friday, Saipa blanked Fajr Sepasi with five goals, Naft Tehran defeated Mes Sarcheshmeh 2-1, Malavan edged past Shahrdari 1-0, and it was 1-1 in the match between Damash and Foulad.
Sepahan now tops the table with 52 points, Esteqlal is in second with 48 points, and Teraktorsazi sits in the third spot, only two points adrift of the Blues.
