‘Enemy should fear Iran military might’

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Vahidi hailed the Great Prophet 7 missile drill in central Iran, stressing that several sophisticated weapons have been put to the test during the war game and all objectives have been met.

He added that Tehran intends to convey a message of peace and friendship to regional countries.

The Islamic Republic of Iran believes that regional states can ensure their own security and extra-regional forces must not be allowed to meddle in regional affairs, Vahidi pointed out.

The Iranian defense minister stated that the three-day missile drill by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), dubbed Great Prophet 7, displayed Iranian Armed Forces’ power and their detailed knowledge of vulnerable spots of bullying entities.

Those thinking of an assault on Iran and its Islamic establishment should know that any such folly will receive a crushing response from Iran, he commented.

The Great Prophet 7 missile drill started in the central Iranian province of Semnan on July 2 and wrapped up on July 4.

The domestically-produced missiles, including Shahab (Meteor) 1, 2, 3, Khalij Fars (Persian Gulf), Tondar (Lightning), Fateh (Victor) and Zelzal (Quake) as well as Qiam (Uprising), were fired at the mock targets during the drill.

In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in the defense sector and gained self-sufficiency in essential military hardware and defense systems.

Iran has repeatedly assured other nations, especially regional neighbors, that its military might poses no threat to other countries, insisting that its defense doctrine is merely based on deterrence.
