FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda The Islamic Republic is becoming stronger by the day and is ready to give a “tough” response to any aggression and military threat, Brig. Gen. Jazayeri said on Monday.
He noted that the era of bullying and hegemonic powers has come to an end and stressed that even the Americans cannot stand the extremism of the US government.
The Iranian commander also pointed out that US President Barack Obama should open his eyes to the modern realities of global issues and developments.
Brig. Gen. Jazayeri’s comments come as Israeli officials have recently heaped on their war rhetoric, threatening Iran with military strikes in case the US-engineered sanctions against the country fail to force Tehran into abandoning its nuclear energy program.
Firebrand Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday heated up Tel Aviv’s war-mongering rhetoric against Tehran, calling for measures beyond diplomacy and sanctions to halt Iran’s nuclear energy program.
The United States, Israel, and some of their allies accuse Iran of pursuing military objectives in its nuclear energy program and are using the allegation as a pretext to push for the imposition of new sanctions on Iran and to beat the drums of war for an attack on the Islamic Republic.
Iran argues that as a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency, it has the right to develop and acquire nuclear technology meant for peaceful purposes.
