FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda Mady deplored the deadly incident as “unacceptable,” calling on Egyptian judicial officials to bring the culprits to justice.
He also stated that the Shia cleric and his followers were all Egyptian citizens and that it was not acceptable that they had fallen victim to such violence only because they were Shia Muslims.
On June 23, several hundred Takfiri extremist attacked and surrounded the house of the Shia cleric in the village of Abu Mussalam in Giza Province. The extremists killed the four Shias and dragged the bodies on the streets.
Dozens of other followers who were at the house for the commemoration of a Shia holy day were injured.
Egyptian Prime Minister Hesham Kandil has also denounced the deadly incident, saying that he is closely following an investigation into the killing. He has also promised that the culprits would be punished.
The Shia community in Egypt is being targeted by Salafis, with the support of a number of countries, especially Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
