TCP : Danish ambassador to Cairo H.E. Pernille Dahler Kardel affirmed Wednesday Denmark’s keenness to develop education system in Egypt, saying that education is a necessity for Egyptians to defeat challenges.
“Quality education is one of the key priorities and needs for Egypt’s youth to be able to overcome the challenges they face, and to ensure Egypt’s development as a nation,” Kardel stated Wednesday.
Kardel’s comments came during her visit to the Educate-Me center Talbeyya district of al-Haram city on Giza Wednesday; she stressed significant support to innovative and forward-looking initiatives concerning Education in Egypt.
The embassy has gone into a partnership with Educate-Me center in November, the Danish embassy stated.
“Educate-Me is a registered Egyptian non-profit foundation that was founded in 2010 and aspires to redefine education in Egypt, developing its own learner-centered educational model with the aim to influence the national education system in Egypt on the long-term; equipping Egypt’s future youth with the knowledge, skills and attitude that enable their self-fulfillment.,” the statement read.
On Dec. 7, the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) and the Egyptian Ministry of Manpower have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on “Enhancing Access of Children to Education and Fighting Child Labor.”
