A person has died after their car smashed into a tree and burst into flames in southern NSW.
The driver veered onto the wrong side of the road when they were travelling south along Tumbarumba Road near Ladysmith at lunchtime on Thursday, police said.
The car left the road, hit a tree and became engulfed in flames.
Emergency Services extinguished the fire but the driver has not yet been identified.
Police believe they were the only person of the car.
The death has brought the holiday toll period for NSW to 12 and the national holiday road toll to 30.
