A man has escaped injury after his utility was fired at in a drive-by shooting in Sydney’s west.
The man was reversing his ute out of a driveway in Epping Forest Rd, Eschol Park, at about 8pm (AEST) on Monday when the single gunshot was fired at the vehicle’s rear.
The driver was not injured.
A crime scene has been established and police are appealing for witnesses.
The shooting comes less than 24 hours after two young bikie gang members were shot during a dispute, also in western Sydney.
The pair, aged 19 and 22, were shot as two rival gangs came face to face in Priddle Street, Westmead late on Sunday night.
Both men were taken separately to Westmead Hospital for treatment, with the 19-year-old suffering a gunshot wound to his groin.
The older man was shot in the buttocks and thigh.
Both men remained in hospital on Monday afternoon and have refused to speak with police.
