Throughout the British Commonwealth a dwindling number of coffin-dodgers strut their stuff each Armistice Day. They do so under a flag otherwise known as ‘the butcher’s apron.’ Their claim is that we would all be speaking German had they not prevailed against German ambitions.
It is never explained why the Workers Reich, enjoying only what England coveted, would want anything to do with a burnt-out poverty stricken has-been nation that, to wage war, borrowed heavily from Uncle Sam.
Americans, according to Hollywood, take the credit for defeating the Reich. Not to be outgunned the Russians are as skilled at creating the myth that triumph was exclusively a Russian victory. All want to be No 1 on the podium.
I suppose by dividing credit for the Reich’s defeat avoids the shame of conceding real history. Geographically disadvantaged the outnumbered Axis forces were isolated from essential resources. Pivotal Germany was a nation smaller than the State of Texas. Yet it took five years for the combined forces of the British, Soviet and American Empires to defeat the Workers Reich. As a consequence tens of millions of good, mostly Christian, ethnic Europeans died. They call this victory.
At the Yalta Conference, February 1945, three men, sensing victory, divided Europe’s sixty or so nations between the military victors. Half was conceded to unelected Joseph Stalin’s blood-soaked Soviet Union. The other half was surrendered to United States banking houses and political interests. Harry S. Truman, the recipient at the time, wasn’t elected either.
The resources of hapless England, after pawning its empire to pay for Russia’s and America’s victory, found itself unable to redeem its pledge. Bye-Bye Empire. Winston Churchill, the unelected wartime premier, was ousted. Don’t slam the door on your way out.
Germany, the only democracy of the main protagonists, was smashed to ruins. The once prosperous Reich was raped, pillaged, occupied, looted and made a vassal of the U.S, and remains so to this day. Germany under Mama Merkel is less free than is Haiti.
How far these three empires have since fallen, The British Empire was the first to evaporate. The Soviet Union collapsed soon after the ink on the Yalta agreement was dry. The U.S with its eye-watering unsustainable $20 trillion debt is today outgunned and outmanoeuvred by the revitalised Russian Federation.
This is happening because the Russian Federation applies many of the principles that brought renaissance to 1930s Germany. If you want to see the recovery manual pick up a copy of Gottfried Feder’s Programme of the N.S.D.A.P.
When its principles are applied to today’s post-war world it becomes clear that the Workers Reich in fact triumphed. Unfortunately, the banner has been changed as is the language used by those who carry it forward. On the bright side of things, those who inherited much of the principles upon which the Third Reich was founded are Teutonic-Celtic peoples. Perhaps through them the Reich will live on. Keep strutting your stuff, Tommy, you have a lot of catching up to do.
