Darlington Point residents are bracing themselves for flood damage when the Murrumbidgee River peaks.
Around 1000 people were evacuated on Saturday, after engineering reports ruled the levee may not withhold the peak of 7.7 metres expected on Sunday night.
Morundah, south of Narrandera and Darlington Point, has also been evacuated with residents asked to leave their homes on Saturday night.
NSW State Emergency Services (SES) said the worst of the water was expected to pass through the village over night.
The SES said it had been a relatively quiet night for its volunteers, who remain on stand-by for anyone who needs assistance.
