A CYCLIST has lost a leg after being hit by a truck in inner Melbourne this morning.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said the man, aged about 60, was taken to The Alfred hospital.
He also suffered a collapsed lung and head injuries.
The accident happened in Swan St, Richmond, about 9am (AEST), police said.
A hospital spokesman said the cyclist was in a critical but stable condition.
The truck driver is assisting police with their inquiries.
