Couple kisses for 58 hours straight to nail new world record

(Scroll down for video) Nine couples competed to win the title of the world’s longest kiss as well as cash and prizes. While most couples gave up after a while, one couple was determined to keep the record that they have set earlier.
Participants Akekachai Tiranarat, 44, and his wife Raksana Taranarat, 33, of Thailand, have set a new world record for the longest kiss, which lasted 58 hours, 35 minutes and 58 seconds.
The couple won the title for the second time in three years.
For the competition contestants were not allowed to rest or sleep. According to reports, the couples even had to go to the bathroom with their lips locked.
Last year’s record, was set by two Thai men, as their kiss lasted about 50 hours and 30 minutes.
