CopBlocker Asserts Rights Remains Safe From Aggressive Police

Thomas was getting gas for his car in Visalia, CA when he came across a police raid in progress. He started filming and was quickly approached by officers intent on determining the reason for his presence. Immediately an officer asked him if he had any weapons and started to frisk him.

Like all cops they thought he was a criminal and in some way was associated with the house they were about to serve with a warrant. This led them to detain and harass Thomas.

The officers pestered Brandon about his intentions and if he is related to the house they are searching. With elementary knowledge of his rights Thomas was able to defend himself from their invasion.

The officers questioned him about his probation status and whether or not he lived on the street. You are not obligated to answer questions from police and Brandon asserted his right remain silent. When the police asked him for his ID he refused and the officer tells him he is being detained, based on his proximity to the house they are searching, and has to provide ID.

During the background check one of the officers quiped that Thomas has been watching too many YouTube videos. He responded “yeah, you too.” The officers claimed to know the law (we all know that isn’t true) and when Thomas says he does as well, the DEA official said, “I don’t think you do.” Thomas had the best comeback for the thug replying, “I don’t think you do either.”

The background check on Brandon comes back clean and the officers tell him to he is free to go. One of the officers says the bottom line for harassing Thomas was, hanging out in an area he didn’t live in and was associating himself with the police and their business.

Thomas tells them that he is “free as fuck” and doesn’t give a shit about their concerns. He literally gave the pigs a whooptee-fucking-doo as they return to the business.

Throughout the ordeal Brandon treats the police with disdain and it is very clear that he has no love for the employees of an institution whose foundation is set upon force. He refers to them as “nazis” and “cock suckers”.

Thomas treats the officers with little to no respect and he still doesn’t go to jail. He sets a powerful example with his actions, more often than not people bow to the police and let them walk all over them whether the police have a reason to or not. Although unnecessary in some people’s opinion, his name calling and general disrespect are a testament to what you really can say to a cop. contrary to popular opinion its quite alright to flip off, cuss out and in general treat cops with as much disrespect as you like.

I’m not advocating that everyone treat every cop like shit, but if you choose to you are well within your rights. If the officer chooses to arrest you for your actions you probably have a free speech lawsuit and should consult an attorney.

Thomas pretty much doesn’t give a fuck about the police and their raid, so he continued to film. A cop who wasn’t a big fan of cameras on scene, walks over to tell him he is interfering and needs to stop making him direct his attention away from the raid. This was a nonsensical interaction that did more to distract that officer than if he had just chosen to leave well enough alone.

Almost immediately after this interaction another officer, whose name is unknown but I will refer to as Chewbacca, on account of his facial hair, approached and threw a temper tantrum about Thomas’s proximity to their vehicles. Thomas had been filming the interior of a police cruiser with his cell phone and the pig didn’t like that. He literally claimed Thomas had no right to look in the vehicle.

Again Thomas is threatened with arrest for causing the officers to direct attention away from their search. The officer advances into Thomas and they walk back to the edge of the property, the entire way the officer is threatening arrest.

Within 15 minutes, Thomas was detained, frisked and threatened with arrest, three different times. No crimes were committed and Thomas was never the primary subject of the investigation. This makes me think that the only reason he was treated in this manner was because he was filming the actions of the officers.

Thomas is one of my friends on Facebook and he told me that he was filming because if the cops ever raided his house he would want someone to film it for him.

I simply would like someone to record my house if it was getting raided so I did. The only thing I regret is getting out of my car with my ID.

If this type of behavior from police when under public scrutiny is upsetting to you? Imagine what they are willing to do when they are not being recorded?
