Police Chief Aaron Jimenez has confirmed that the officer filmed making threats in several cellphone videos shot by protestors in Missouri is Lieutenant Ray Albers. Albers can be seen in videos taken Tuesday night during protests in Ferguson, Missouri, pointing his weapon at civilians, shouting: “I will fucking kill you.”
Two separate videos uploaded to YouTube on Wednesday he can be seen: ”Gun raised, gun raised and pointed,” a protestor shouts, alerting others as the psychotic officer approaches closer.
“My hands are up,” another protestor cries.
“I will fucking kill you, get back!” the officer barks back.
One protestor asks for the deranged officer to identify himself.
“What’s your name, sir?” he asks.
“Go fuck yourself,” the officer answers.

As a result of the high profile videos of this incident making their way around the internet, the St. Ann Police Department has released a statement saying that Lieutenant Albers has been “suspended indefinitely.”
On Tuesday, August 19, 2014, shortly before midnight, an incident occurred wherein a St. Ann Police Officer pointed a semi-automatic assault rifle at a peaceful protestor after a verbal exchange. It was at this time a St. Louis County Police Sergeant walked over and immediately took action, forcing the officer to lower the weapon, and escorting him away from the area. The unified command strongly feel these actions are inappropriate, and not indicative of the officers who have worked daily, to keep the peace. The St. Ann Police Officer involved in the incident has been relieved of duty and suspended indefinitely. For any further regarding the status of the officer, or any following internal investigation, questions need to be directed to the St. Ann Police Department.
While it is certainly good to see the St. Ann Police Department take such action, the fact remains that this officer passes several layers of screening and background checks, as well as a thorough interview process to be hired on to the department in the first place. If this is the sort of individual that can make it on to their force, and action is only taken once videos circulate virally of them threatening to murder protesters, then imagine how many people are still on the force, who the department has not yet been placed in a position to take similar action against, who nonetheless are of the same mindset.
