Earlier on Wednesday during an online chat with constituents, South Carolina
Governor Nikki Haley – herself a potential vice president candidate – said
Rice was among her top recommendations for a Romney running mate.
“Whoever Governor Romney chooses will be part of a dream team. My
preference would be (Louisiana Governor) Bobby Jindal or Condi Rice,”
Haley wrote.
Rice, 57, is currently on the faculty of Stanford University, just south of
San Francisco, California.
