Palestinian political groups have criticized the United Nations for failing to implement the 2004 ruling.
Activist Jamal Juma from Stop the Wall Campaign said the case should be in the Security Council now.
“If it has been to go… its way through the United Nations organizations, it should be now in the Security Council,” he told Press TV.
“I don’t think the Americans will be able to use veto against the ICJ ruling because … veto on an international law means that you are vetoing the whole system that you have been part of creating,” Juma argued.
Israel’s apartheid wall has annexed around 60 percent of Bil’in, a village in the Ramallah district, to build illegal settlements. Villagers in Bil’in have held nonviolent demonstrations against the construction of the wall since 2004.
Palestinians, as well as some international peace activists, complain that with the construction of the apartheid wall, Israelis are forcibly and illegally annexing land owned by Palestinians.
