The Pollock Twins case is an unresolved mystery that will blow your mind even if you don’t at all believe in life after death. For years, this strange case has been regarded by many as convincing proof for reincarnation. Let’s see what it’s all about.
An 11-year-old girl named Joanna, and her 6-year-old sister Jacqueline, both from England are at the center of the story.
A year later the parents of the sisters had twin babies.
They noticed that the infant, Jennifer, had a strange white line across her forehead similar to her dead sister Jaqueline’s scar from a bike accident. When he checked the baby’s leg, he also located a birthmark identical to Jaqueline’s birthmark.
The family moved to another house when the twins were 3-months-old.
The family gave the old possessions of Jacqueline and Joanna to the girls. Amazingly, they were able to correctly name every teddy bear and doll that the deceased twins had owned. This is where everything gets spookier.
The family then moved back to their old house when the twins were four years old. The girls recognized the places they had never seen before.
They pointed out a school they said it was their school and had played on the playground. That school was the one Jacqueline and Joanna had attended.
It gets even scarier…
One time, one of the twins told her sister that blood was coming out of her eyes, where the car struck her.
And one or two months later, the twins were sent into a state of hysterical frenzy as they walked past a parked car with its engine ticking over. They were screaming at the top of their lungs, “The car! It’s coming to get us.”
Dr. Ian Stevenson, a psychologist then studied this case.
Stevenson realized that the identical twins had different birthmarks. He also noted that the twins had taken the behaviors of the dead sisters. Jennifer was codependent on her sister Gillian in the same way as Jacqueline was on her sister Joanna.
Stevenson’s studies were focused on reincarnation. He dedicated his life on discovering evidence that memories and physical injuries can be transferred from one lifetime to another.
He traveled extensively over a period of 40 years, investigating 3,000 cases of children around the world who recalled having past lives. He studied such children who had unusual abilities, illnesses, phobias and philias which could not be explained by the environment or heredity.
When the Pollock Twins reached the age of five, their strange memories almost vanished. They now live normal lives.
However, theirs is not the only case. The Pollock Twins are just one of many examples that seem to be cases of reincarnation. James Leininger, for example, was born in 1998 in San Francisco. He began having nightmares about plane crashes when he was two. Those nightmares stemmed from memories of the past life as a World War II pilot. James also could tell his parents all about planes from that era – and his parents weren’t World War II buffs who kept a lot of books or memorabilia around.
The story of the Pollock Twins, of course, can just be false hope by grieving parents rather than being a real case of reincarnation…
After all, it is very understandable why we look for comfort in such thoughts when our loved ones die. And If reincarnation is ever to be proven, we should always remember that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
