Even the mainstream media is being forced to praise President Trump over his success in bringing North Korea to the table, with CNN’s Erin Burnett acknowledging that Trump will go down as a “great president” if he fixes the problem.

Trump is set to meet with Kim Jong-un before May, with North Korea agreeing to suspend missile tests and eventually work towards “permanent denuclearisation”.

South Korean National Security Adviser Chung Eui-yong directly credited Trump for the development, explaining that, “his leadership and his maximum-pressure policy, together with international solidarity, brought us to this juncture.”

The news was so remarkable that even the normally ardently anti-Trump mainstream media had to praise the president.

“That is an incredible thing and I don’t think theres anybody watching this or any expert on Korea who expected that response at this time, pretty stunning,” said CNN’s Erin Burnett.

“If President Trump can truly solve this problem, that would be going down as a great President and theres no way around that. That is the reality here,” she added.

Over on MSNBC, nuclear arms expert Joe Cirincione told Chris Matthews that “this is actually moment that very few of us thought we would ever see.”

Chief White House correspondent Hallie Jackson also conceded, “It is certainly a remarkable evening here at the White House…thats for sure.”

Reuters correspondent Ayehsa Rascoe summed it up by saying, “This a big deal.”

However, not all leftists reacted positively, with some spontaneously inventing the conspiracy theory that the entire issue, which has been in the works for months, was merely a way to distract from the ‘Russian collusion’ investigation.

Former Obama officials also tried to downplay the monumental development, with former Kerry State Department spokesman John Kirby asserting, “it’s not about President Trump, it’s about Moon Jae-in” (despite the fact that South Korea gave direct credit to Trump).

Obama-era National Security Council member Sam Vinograd whined that because it took so long to prepare similar meetings under Obama, “there is no way that President Trump can be ready by May to have a high-stakes negotiation on denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula.”

Some on the left would openly welcome war between North and South Korea if it made Trump look bad, that’s how deranged they are.

But for sane observers, last night’s news is the United States’ biggest geopolitical achievement in years if not decades.
